Marketing Consultant

Expert advice on branding, marketing, and business growth.

A marketing consultant provides experienced guidance when a business or leader needs clarity on what to do next.

Sometimes, it's a case of not knowing where to start. Other times, ideas have already been tried. Agencies have been hired. Campaigns have been run. Money has been spent. Yet nothing seems to stick.

As a marketing consultant, my job is to offer a fresh perspective. I bring over fifteen years of experience across branding and marketing to help identify how to achieve your goals.

The work happens in the sessions themselves. Ideas are tested there and then, decisions are made, and practical steps are defined.

With the right guidance, moving forward becomes much easier.

Role

As a marketing consultant, I help businesses see their marketing clearly and decide how to make it work.

Many founders are too close to their own business to see what's stopping them from growing. Ideas become tangled with assumptions, and marketing decisions are made without a clear understanding of the customer. This is where an external perspective becomes crucial.

In our sessions, we examine what is actually happening across the business and identify the problems that are holding back growth. Sometimes that means reviewing campaigns or messaging. Other times it means shaping strategy, refining positioning, or pressure-testing ideas before they are executed.

My role is to bring an outside perspective, challenge assumptions, and help you think clearly.

Who

Marketing consulting works best for leaders who want expert guidance while retaining control of the day-to-day implementation.

Typically, consulting sessions are with founders and solopreneurs who currently take responsibility for the company’s marketing efforts. They usually run early-stage startups that are finding their direction, or more established businesses looking for clarity on how to grow.

Consulting works best with those who are open to advice and willing to act on it between sessions.

What

The specifics discussed during sessions vary from business to business, but they always sit at the intersection of branding, marketing, and business growth.

Sometimes the focus is marketing. A founder may want advice on how to generate leads, improve campaigns, or understand why previous marketing efforts haven’t produced results. In other cases the conversation moves further upstream, looking at positioning, messaging, and offers.

Often what appears to be a marketing problem is actually a clarity problem around the brand or the value being presented to customers. Because of this, the conversation often extends beyond marketing alone.

We may discuss pricing, sales processes, customer psychology, or broader growth decisions.

Whatever the topic, the goal is the same: to identify the real problem, test ideas together, and define the steps that will move the business forward.

How

Marketing consulting takes place through one-hour sessions held via video call.

Clients work with me on a retainer basis that includes a set number of hours each month. The exact amount will depend on what I think you need. For some, that may be a single session each month. Others will need more regular conversations if they have bigger goals or longer-term challenges.

We do all of the work during the sessions themselves. We explore challenges, ideate, and examine the business from different angles to find the answers you're looking for

You're welcome to share materials so I can review them ahead of time and make the most of our time together. Between sessions, you also have access to me via email or WhatsApp.

My ultimate goal as a marketing consultant is to help you think clearly about your business, challenge assumptions, and make better decisions about how to achieve your goals.

WHY

My approach has been shaped by a career that didn’t begin in marketing.

Before becoming a marketing consultant, I was a professional heavy metal drummer. I learned that every little creative decision you make can change how someone feels. A shift in rhythm can change the energy in the room. A specific melody can lift you up or bring you to tears.

I apply those same principles to marketing. Every decision influences how people perceive you, your brand, and whether they decide to buy.

But there's another important thing to mention. I’ve been building and running businesses myself for more than fifteen years. I know what it takes. So when we discuss marketing challenges, I don’t look at them in isolation. I look at the entire business.

By the end of each session, you'll leave with a newfound sense of clarity that you didn't have before. Problems that once felt complicated start to make sense, and the path forward becomes easier to see.

ENGAGE

Marketing consulting is £250 per hour. My clients work with me on a monthly retainer that includes a set number of hours each month. The number of hours depends on what you need and can be adjusted as needed.
