What Kaine Levy Does

A Fractional CMO is exactly what it sounds like. Kaine acts as his clients' Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing their whole brand and all of their marketing, but on a part-time basis. He doesn't work with one business. He works with multiple, taking on a select number of clients at any one time.

That means taking real ownership of the full marketing picture: strategy, team direction, paid campaigns, funnels, content, positioning, all of it tied back to revenue.

He also works as a Marketing Consultant for founders and businesses who need a sharp outside perspective, typically through intensive sessions or monthly retainers.

When Kaine comes into a business, what he tends to find is the same across most of them. They don't have a clear enough picture of who they're actually selling to. They don't have the funnels and nurturing systems required to take someone through the buying journey to a decision. And they're not showing up consistently enough, across enough touchpoints, to stay top of mind in a market where anyone can build a business and post daily.

What makes Kaine different from a specialist is scope. An SEO specialist thinks you have an SEO problem. A PPC person thinks you have a PPC problem. A social media manager thinks you have a content issue. Kaine looks at the whole business and figures out where the real leverage is, not for rankings or views, but for growth.

Background: From Heavy Metal to Marketing

Kaine Levy's route into marketing runs through record labels, tour buses, film festivals, and music video commissions.

The music years

He started playing at six, beginning with guitar and piano before moving to bass and eventually drums. By his mid teens, Kaine was a professional heavy metal drummer in the band I, The Writer, signed to a label, touring the UK, and endorsed by brands such as TRX Cymbals, Cympad, and Silverfox Drumsticks.

Those years were his first education in brand building. The band was active in the early days of Facebook and Instagram, when social media was still a genuine conversation between artists and fans. Every element of the image, the clothing, the photography style, the album artwork, the song names, even the drum shells and guitar finishes, had to work together. Kaine got a ground-level, real-time view of what people responded to.

Music also gave him something that feeds directly into how he works today: an understanding of human psychology. How a change of rhythm shifts the energy of an entire room. How different arrangements create different emotional responses. How creative decisions can lead people toward a feeling, and ultimately toward a choice.

The endorsements came in. The label deal came in. But the moments that stayed with him were the private messages from fans saying the music made them feel something. That it changed something for them. Some said it saved their life.

Leaving music wasn't a clean break. Kaine went to St Albans School, a highly academic school. His year had a record number of Oxford and Cambridge University acceptances, and when he told his dad he wanted to keep touring instead of going to university, the conversation didn't go the way he'd hoped. Kaine was already creatig videos for bands and had a feel for the camera, so film school was the logical next step.

Filmmaking and the early business

Met Film School was intensive. Five days a week, 45 weeks a year, and acting as student representative. It became clear quickly that juggling that alongside being in a band wasn't possible.

But the business instinct had been there long before film school. As a teenager, Kaine had already built an online business creating music videos for bands in seven countries, working with major record labels and artists he'd grown up listening to. That was the earliest version of what would eventually become Ventur Agency.

At film school, he directed and produced short and feature films that screened internationally, earning reviews from Film Threat, Indie Shorts Mag, and Take2IndieReview. His directorial credits are on IMDB.

It was also during this period that the three disciplines; music, film, and marketing, started to come together in a practical way. A campaign Kaine later produced for Pro Sound Effects, promoting their Game Audio Collection: Footsteps sound effects library, is a clear example. The concept was built entirely around rhythm, with footsteps timed precisely to the beat to create something cinematic and designed to sell.

Building Ventur Agency

Ventur Agency grew out of that original production business, evolving from video and creative work into full-service branding and marketing strategy services. It now operates as a London-based agency working with businesses of all sizes and sectors, from SMBs and startups through to large global organisations.

The company has over 25 5-star reviews on Google and is a 5-star rated employer on Glassdoor.

Selected Work

344 Audio

When Kaine began working with 344 Audio, they were a small founder-led studio with limited brand recognition and no real marketing activity. Working closely with founder Alex Gregson, Kaine developed a full brand strategy and repositioned the company toward high-end film and game productions. They launched new products and services, refined pricing, built systems and processes, and created a marketing operation that established consistent inbound leads and strong brand awareness across the industry.

Revenue increased 4x. Profit margins improved significantly. The client list moved from low-budget independent projects to globally recognised titles including Call of Duty, Wonder Woman 1984, and Arknights: Endfield.

"Going on this journey has been a fascinating progression for the company, where we have not only achieved the goals we set out to, but we understand how and why we have, which is far more important. Kaine poured his heart and soul into our business." — Alex Gregson, Founder & CEO, 344 Audio

Love Is Art

When Kaine joined Love Is Art, the business was generating around $250k per year through organic sales alone, with no paid advertising, email marketing, or structured growth strategy. As Fractional CMO, Kaine led the full marketing operation: repositioning the brand to feel more premium, launching and managing paid advertising, improving website conversion rates, and building email and quiz funnels.

Through customer research, he identified the anniversary market as a key audience segment, which has since become a reliable driver of sales. Within 8 months: revenue grew from $250k to over $1m. The brand reached 6m+ views across social media. Paid ads are averaging 3.5x ROAS, hitting 10x during peak periods. CAC is down 45%.

"We had the challenge of rapidly scaling a distressed D2C business which was initially in shambles. Kaine stepped in and became part of our team within days. Our revenue is up >130% YTD, CAC down 45%, and we've had a few viral videos on IG and TikTok along the way." — Chris Merkle, COO, Love Is Art

Michael Serwa

Michael Serwa was already one of the most recognised life coaches in the UK when Kaine came on board, with strong PR, consistent demand, and a well-established personal brand. The work was about elevation. Together they refined messaging, launched a new course (How to Build a Six-Figure Coaching Business), strengthened his presence on Google and in AI search, and diversified lead generation to reduce reliance on any single channel. The result was a 20% increase in annual revenue in year one, the highest in Michael's career.

"Kaine is exceptionally good at what he does. He's worked tirelessly to help me take my branding to the next level, something I've been benefiting from ever since. He's highly intelligent, knowledgeable, patient, and, my personal favourite, an all-around really nice guy." — Michael Serwa

Kaine and Ventur Agency have also worked with major brands including Virgin, Elle, NHS, DHL, Quooker, and Moving Mountains.
